We listen, act, and transform
Welcome to Milwaukee Mental Health and Consulting
Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Care for Life’s Most Complex Challenges
At Milwaukee Mental Health and Consulting, we provide thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy for individuals navigating high emotional load, chronic stress, and life experiences that feel overwhelming, confusing, or destabilizing. Whether you’re working through trauma, grief, infertility, postpartum transitions, relationship strain, anxiety, or major life changes, our work is grounded in both clinical excellence and deep respect for your lived experience.
About Sarah Benitez-Zandi, LCSW
My ideal client is insightful, high-functioning, and ready for meaningful change—even if they feel stuck, burnt out, or emotionally exhausted. Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety, trauma, identity questions, relationship patterns, or life transitions. They often want more than coping skills alone; they want to understand why patterns persist and how to move through them in a way that creates lasting relief and alignment.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and structured therapeutic space where we blend evidence-based trauma therapies with practical tools for day-to-day functioning. My work emphasizes depth, nervous system regulation, and integration—helping clients move beyond insight into real, embodied change.
Modalities & Areas of Focus
Therapy is tailored to each client and may include:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy)
Somatic & nervous-system-informed therapy
CBT & DBT-informed skills, as clinically appropriate
Attachment-focused and parts-oriented work
Specialty areas include trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, life transitions, perinatal and postpartum mental health, relationship concerns, identity work, grief, and stress-related burnout.
Therapy Intensives
In addition to standard weekly therapy, I also offer therapy intensives for clients who are seeking deeper work in a shorter period of time. Intensives provide extended, uninterrupted sessions designed to support trauma processing, emotional regulation, and clarity when weekly therapy feels insufficient. These can be used as a stand-alone service or alongside ongoing therapy, depending on client needs and clinical appropriateness.
